gluttony

Gluttony! Hurrah! the ribald pleasure of shoveling grub in yer gob… with gusto!
i’m not planning on immortality (clearly), but will beam happiness in the meantime
tho lurking beyond pirate hat and french fancies, my beautiful bike
a joy to be out and about in the sunshine, first thing in the morning, such fortune, such privilege, to live by the sea
dip in the ocean off seaford head… blowing huge spumes of water, beautious beluga me
oh … and in other news lovely daughter going to be 16 tomorrow… amazing! … how’d that happen?! x

feather

feather! this just wafted down from the heavens, plonk landing next to my tea cup…. just to disturb me from the reverie of work
the bovver of fevvers! happily grooving to elton john, then a gift from above!
eagle? seagull? pterodactyl? something that soars anyway,
as i’m a healthy 30ft up! no not like simon stylites perched atop a pole … peck peck programming away
but office in the loft, with civilised bed, where i can lie… and think… and watch the clouds, occasionally majestic, dawdle past
its a symbol! dunno of what? probs that i shouldn’t be cooped up on such a gorgeous sunny day

Resurrection Fern

i love this song
every time it comes on, during the dubious scribble of morning pages today, i stop what i’m doing and play it 3 times in a row, sure i’ve posted it here before too!
antithesis of this astonishing sunshine morning, but somehow wherever i am, it always reaches out to me
the guitar insistently rolls, urging forward, yet allowing space for eloquent beauty… dappled with sorrow…
and his voice, a phantasm of tenderness, eluding meaning, croaking poetry
for me, always, a song of adolescence
ah yes… somehow, suprisingly fortified.. on and out into the beautiful day x

meteorite

spud-nik

Meteorite!!! look we found a smidgin of a comet! (well hanna did)
meandering for millenia in the curious depths of darkest space… no thing piled upon nothing
then to furious glorious fireball down upon the earth
meteorites usually bring rogue strains of dna, else other worldly metals, this one has an eerie, primordial magnetism, gyrating, then spinning to face sirius, the dog star
also its astonishingly light! as tho attuned to the universes heart chakra vibration
most amazing of all, where it was discovered… in the oven … as tho it had been there for millenia… or at least a month
yes. verily, it shall be called spud-nik

tutenkhamun had a dagger made from the iron from a meteorite… at the time this was created mankind did not have the ability to smelt iron

bimble

Glitter-gasm! It’s Mark Bolans Scarecrow Grandad!!
slowly regenerating after a bonkers fun weekend ‘commuting’ to bimble
these the only photos i managed to take… and a lovely one of daughter on downs (just so i don’t appear too solipsistic)
face paint by heather, took several ingots worth to gild my beatiful and wrinkled visage
particularly after a night of bamboozle boogie-ing till a most crepuscular dawn
thanks to all the various posses that adopted me, the immense blue of the sky above, the musicians, the golden yellow fields, friends old …and new
and to all those that funky mosh flamencoed with me down the front. gr-oo-ooooo-vy
your beautiful! x
