paddle bagpuss around the pier! snaps from out on the water yesterday, a sun and sea soaked adventure…. i was roped in as rodent power, creative kudos to may and marie for their hand stitched extravaganza! a few mad late nights of endeavour… homage to peter firmin the bloke what created bagpuss who died earlier this year… fun in da sun! adding one more characterful crease to my visage…

eat more flowers! be a lotus eater… well thats been this years motto… yet another summertime experiment… honeysuckle iced tea with a sprig of garden mint
the taste is kind of watermelon-esque, with a bouquet of pumpkin, well at least to my hayfever addled probiscus
most of the fun is gathering the blossoms, an abundance up castle hill, thanks to sarah for pointing them out
appartently honeysuckle (woodbine!) flowers contain salicylic acid… aspirin! so good for all sorts of fever and footie induced hangovers
oh and probably for love charms too… i should coco

aw, as well you know, to preserve its magical properties, honeysuckle must always be plucked whilst naked and cavorting in the dawn dew… you coming to the field this year? xx

chili! been growing plants from seed this year, first time, they really are lovely and astonishing critters!… sherbailey gave me a Red Thai Dragon last summer, the spiciest thing possible!
the madre has burgeoned into a monster and is flowering nicely… which is a suprise as i just presumed they were annuals, like toms, and she would keel over somewhere midst the dank british winter
i saved a few seeds, not really expecting them to germinate, then lo and behold, through the miracle of sunshine water and soil they are doing just smashing
garb is a homage to McEnroe circa 1980’s Vimbleydon, heatwave fire… tho as it often is with on here, bored with programming and seeking attention x

heartfelt thanks for all the birthday love beamed in my direction! all hugely appreciated, wonderful!!
tho like many folk i struggle a bit with birthdays… lawks knows, ha, i’ve had a few, so should be used to them by now
it’s not so much the gallumphing of age, on the whole it’s been a blessed and miraculous journey,
just the awkwardness of both needing to be the center of attention and simultanously embodying the epitomy of reluctance
so thanks! So what do you get for the self obsessed narcissist who has it all?
well if your joe, you do a painting of them as a surreal colourful probiscus/mandrill monkey, and hang it in the most ostentatious gold frame imaginable!!
